Metallurgical Fire A striking album cover opens into a masterful black metal record. Setoml aren’t concerned with sensationalism, they don’t try to scare you, nothing is over the top. This is a mature and thoughtful record that still manages to be heavy and powerful. Impressive. Favorite track: Their Wings Are Gray Like Spirits (Їхні крила сірі, немов духи).

H.L. I have a soft spot for black metal from the Ukraine as it is often well balanced between roughness and atmosphere. SETOML fit into this description though they are more rough than atmospheric. The growls sound a but like spoken words and less than singing. The sound is heavy and organic and songs like "In the Cold Eyes" appear majestic and catchy. A welcome addition to my Ukraine collection. Favorite track: In The Cold Eyes (В холодних очах).

Hayduke X Bleak, yet melodic, doomed-out black metal. Engaging, but dark throughout. Favorite track: By The Dark Lake (Біля темного озера).

bmurator Melodic Black Metal from Ukraine. It might be melodic but it is still pretty damn violent & can create one hell of a hateful & aggressive atmosphere! Thanks Satanath! No faves & Recommended!

MY DEATH BELONGS TO YOU spread a dense funeral doom atmosphere. Sure, the epic songs are not catchy in the common sense, instead they swing between slow and heavy parts and quiet ambient passages what makes them rather dynamic. For fans of the genre who enjoy the atmospheric style a must have! H.L.
